About our practice
Orthodontics is a dental specialty requiring additional years of training beyond general dentistry. It's the study of the growth and development, as well as the correction, of dental malocclusions in both children and adults. A malocclusion is a problem in the way the upper and lower teeth fit together in biting or chewing. The word malocclusion literally means "bad bite." We've proudly served our patients from our offices on Carling Avenue in Ottawa since 1977.

Dr. James Borovay, 'Dr B'Hello! I graduated from Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1969 and completed my specialty in orthodontics at Boston University in 1974. I arrived in Ottawa in 1977 with my wife Rena, who is a practicing psychologist. I have been practicing orthodontics in this great city since then. We have three daughters, Melissa, Lindsay, and Karen. |

Hello! My name is Janet and I am Dr. Borovay's Treatment Coordinator. I started working here in 1987. I have two beautiful children-Sarena and Spencer and two fabulous stepdaughters Katie and April. I met my sweet heart Tim when he brought his daughter Katie in for an assessment with Dr. Borovay. Love can find you in the strangest of places! I enjoy reading, gardening, cooking and spending time with my family and friends. I feel very blessed to be working for Dr. Borovay and with such a fine group of women.
